Nelson Tyrone

Nelson Tyrone devotes his practice to the areas of Plaintiff's Personal Injury Trial work.

Mr. Tyrone is a graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia and received his law degree (with honors) from the University of Georgia School of Law. Before opening his own practice Mr. Tyrone was associated with nationally-recognized law firms in both the areas of Criminal Defense and Plaintiff's Catastrophic Injury work.

Mr. Tyrone practiced for a number of years with Atlanta's pre-eminent criminal defense law firm, Garland, Samuel & Loeb, P.C. While an attorney with Garland, Samuel & Loeb, Mr. Tyrone represented clients in a variety of major felony and white collar criminal defense work in both state and federal court. Among the cases he was involved in were the defense of Baltimore Ravens running Ray Lewis, and the defense of the United States Government's prosecution of the Gold Club in Atlanta, Georgia. After leaving Garland, Samuel & Loeb, P.C. he worked for Butler, Wooten P.C. in Atlanta and Columbus, Georgia working primarily in the areas of medical malpractice and auto products liability work.

He has tried over three dozen jury trials in state and federal courts in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Nebraska, Ohio and New York.

Mr. Tyrone has been a guest lecturer on trial strategy and tactics in Georgia, Texas, and Wyoming and is a member of the board and teaching staff of The Trial Lawyer's College founded by attorney Gerry Spence in Dubois, Wyoming. He is also a founding member of the Red Clay Democrats of Georgia and is member of the board of Covenant Community, a residential treatment home for men suffering from alcohol and drug addiction.

He lives in Atlanta with his wife Leslie and their daughter Leslie Munday, Beau (a black lab) and Emily (a rescue dog - probably part Greyhound).
